01/ What is this scholarship?

The scholarship is financial support that covers part (or all) of the course fee. If selected, you can attend the bootcamp at a reduced cost, or in some cases, no cost.

02/ What is the course USP?

It's a 3-month, hands-on program taught by real practitioners. You'll learn how to build real-time data pipelines with Kafka, Flink SQL, and other modern tools used in top tech companies. The unique part is that it's very practical — you work on real projects, not just theory. You will also have access to 1-1 office hours with your mentors.

03/ Do I need to pay?

The regular price of the course is INR 60,000 (including taxes). If you get the scholarship, your fee will be reduced or waived depending on the scholarship amount granted.

04/ Will I get paid?

No, this is not a paid internship or job. It's a learning program. You invest your time to gain skills, and in return, you'll be better positioned for jobs in the AI and data platform space.

05/ What is the duration?

The bootcamp runs for 3 months, in-person in Bangaluru, Monday to Friday. It includes live sessions, assignments, projects, and 1:1 mentoring.

06/ What happens after the said duration?

By the end of the program, you'll have hands-on experience, projects to showcase, and guidance from mentors. This gives you a strong edge when applying for data engineering or platform engineering roles in the industry. Also, if you meet our success criteria, you may have the opportunity to join Platformatory as an employee.

07/ What is the success criteria?

The success criteria is determined between you and your mentor. Typically, ¾ below required:

1. Pass the CCDAK certification exam
2. Working knowledge of the Databricks ecosystem: Programming in Python (Pyspark) and Lakehouse concepts. You must pass all the accreditations
3. Gain knowledge of the fundamentals of Kubernetes. Ideally attaining a level of competence similar to CKA.
4. Gain a working knowledge of Temporal, for writing durable workflows. Pass Temporal 101, 102 along with accreditations

08/ Is employment guaranteed?

No. Contingent on the success criteria outlined above, you are highly likely to get inducted into Platformatory. Our starting salaries are 3.6LPA, and those in customer facing roles experience high growth.

09/ What are the modalities of the course?

1. You're required to be in office. Show up every day, on time.
2. Bring your own laptop. Install and dual boot any GNU/Linux.
3. Spend time diligently with your mentor. Follow up, show progress week on week.
4. Don't expect to be instructed on what to do. Be pro-active and professional. This is not a college or tuition setting.
